Downtown Living IV

VJ | April 29th, 2007 | 10:45

This house has the same urban look as Downtown Living III, but has a whole different floor plan. It's much more spacious, there is plenty of room for a medium sized family.

The house is semi-furnished. I furnished and decorated the 1st floor (living room and kitchen).

*NOTE: If you didn't get Jonesi's modular stair script before, you will need it now.

NOTE 2: I had some decorating mishaps in this one. One is that the slot package for tables turns visible when you exit and re-enter the lot. You can delete those if you like. Another thing...the microwave in the kitchen is a real microwave, not deco as I thought. You'll have to move or delete it. I also forgot to leave the counter space open. You should delete the juicer thingy.

Downtown Living III

I like the way this one turned out. I can honestly say that when I look at this house I really think of home (Chicago). It's modeled after a real house that can be found in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago.

The Master Suite is a studio type room on the 3rd floor. Hope you enjoy it.

*NOTE: I used a set of custom Modular Stairs by Jonesi. I'm not sure if they will show up without the script. You can get it here and follow the installation instructions.

2nd NOTE: I'm having trouble getting the driveway to turn. I think seasons may have broke it. The garage is ok, but the garage door is facing the wrong way. I hope that's not too much of an inconvenience to you guys.

Downtown Living II

This is a nice "Chicago" style home. I got the build bug while I was on a trip there last week. I saw this house and had to build my version of it. I hope you enjoy. As always, it's built for playability and just looks darn good, too! :)

About my photography skills...well, it just happens to start raining every time I get ready to take pictures. Go figure. Eh, the picture quality outdoors is not so good, but I promise you that the house is beautiful! Also, for some reason the guy was following me around and got into every shot.

*Note: Some of the custom content (plants, mostly) was downloaded with a house. I don't know who made it or where to find it. I thank those creators for their work and if you know where it came from, let me know.

Downtown Living I

VJ | April 11th, 2007 | 21:45

Hey there...this is the start of a new series. My City Living Neighborhood is complete and I'm moving on to the sub-hoods.

I'm really not sure about the style I'm going for, but I hope you can trust that I'll make it look good, LOL.

This lot is semi-furnished to give you an idea of the floor plan.

Enjoy!

VJs Dream Home

This is a super cute house, but beware, it's a Custom Content nightmare if you are trying to keep your downloads folder small. If you don't want the CC in your game, use the Clean Installer to remove the files. The objects will show up as the original Maxis objects they were cloned from.

Hope you enjoy this one. It has a very simple design making it very playable.

Come Visit Cairo! New Location

Hi All,

Well, I have been having problems uploading my lots to this site so I set up a temporary site to host my new Sims 3 World, Cairo. You can find the secondary VJ Development here!

The site is not fully up and running, yet, but the worlds are uploaded. Bear in mind that I have World Adventures, High End Loft Stuff, and lots of store items in my game.

See ya there,

VJ
